Core Medical Solutions recently secured exciting involvement with Wave 2 of NEHTA’s $466.7million Personally Controlled Electronic Health Record.
The MedView project will demonstrate the ability of consumers and health professionals to access consented patient’s medication history via a PCEHR conformant medicines repository using national electronic transfer of prescriptions and other standards and specifications.
This project aims to demonstrate how a national medications repository could function within the context of the national PCEHR.
The project will deploy MedView to all pharmacies and GP’s in the GP Association of Geelong region, Barwon Health (Geelong Hospital) and a Residential Aged Care Facility as well as a further 10% of GPs and Pharmacies nationally.
The project will bring together a grouping of private sector eHealth vendors including FRED, eRx, BestPractice, Zedmed, iCare, Simpl, Microsoft, Simple Retail, Pharmhos and Core Medical Solutions.
The project will test interoperability between these solutions through the alignment to NEHTAspecifications and national PCEHR standards. Demographics Population reach of approximately 2,000,000 – regional Victoria and other areas nationally.
